Woitinek Lebkuchnerei in Nuremberg

I love to eat gingerbread from Nuremberg at Christmas time. I ordered from a gingerbread maker for years, but at some point they sold their business. After that, I had a problem for decades: every gingerbread I ordered tasted like "sawdust". In 2018/19 I was lucky enough to come across this company Woitinek completely by chance (a bakery / cafe in Hamburg that very kindly told me the manufacturer). These are the gingerbread cookies again that I love and are made with great ingredients. Dear Woitinek family: Please change the recipe if only slightly and don't just produce "sawdust gingerbread" for the sake of cheap money!

HAAAAAAMMEER! We are passionate eaters of gingerbread. Therefore, we used this Corona Christmas to order from the world gingerbread capital from various well-known gingerbread makers. The preselection was that there were already positive tests. All but one are not mass-produced. The first thing that arrived was the gingerbread from the Woitinek gingerbread factory. 2 days after ordering in the evening! So fast like Amazon! That is customer friendliness! Super packed, not too much, not too little! In addition to the option to pay by invoice, that was a highlight! Because of this service and the literal customer-friendliness, we did not use the super-generous payment period, but transferred it immediately, which is decency in such a great family business! But now it comes. Then we tried the gingerbread. 4 people 1 opinion: These are the best gingerbread ever! When you bite into it, you can taste the perfectly roasted almonds in the mass, the sweetness doesn't cover everything but, with the chocolate-free version, the spices literally explode in your mouth. Then the mouthfeel. On the outside a thin, crispy layer, on the inside juicy but not soggy, just perfect! After 2 days, 16 gingerbread were gone ... But only because everyone was holding back. Because we didn't order enough! We have to do that today! Many greetings to Nuremberg!

Incredibly delicious gingerbread (not to be compared with the industrial goods that you get on every corner!) And the fruitcake is just a poem! Purchasing via the online shop also works without any problems! I can only recommend!

Super gingerbread. I would give four stars if they were vegan or at least if there were also vegan ones. And five stars if they offered card payments with no minimum amount. Even without a pandemic, no longer appropriate.
